About Me

I’m a 500-hour certified Hatha Vinyasa yoga teacher based in Cornwall, UK. I have over eight years of devoted personal practice across a range of disciplines, including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin, Kundalini, Restorative, Pranayama, and Meditation. My teaching weaves traditional yogic philosophy with intuitive, embodied wisdom, supporting students to move, breathe, and rest in ways that feel nourishing and sustainable.

Training & Experience

I completed my 200-hour teacher training with Lakshmi Rising Yoga & Wellness in the lush jungles of Costa Rica in December 2024, followed by my 300-hour Next-Level Vinyasa training in Portugal in December 2025. After completing my foundational training, I delivered a Yoga and Meditation tour along the coast of California in collaboration with Natalia Saarela and Wild at Heart Yoga & Wellness.

Teaching Style & Philosophy

I specialise in restorative vinyasa, slow, meditative flow, and deep relaxation practices that support nervous-system healing and cultivate inner spaciousness. I see yoga as a healing practice and an act of self-love, and I aim to offer a compassionate, grounded space where students can reconnect with their bodies, breath, and inner truth.

My approach is deeply influenced by Ayurveda and a belief in the integration of body, mind, and spirit. Whether you’re new to the mat or deepening your journey, my classes invite you to move with intention and creativity, care for yourself deeply, and gently radiate that care outward into the world.

Creative Practice & Community Work

Alongside teaching yoga, I’m a curator, arts programmer, and community arts advocate with over a decade of experience producing exhibitions, events, residencies, and creative workshops across the UK. My work sits at the intersection of yoga, mindfulness, and creativity, and I believe deeply in the power of embodied and creative practices as pathways to healing, connection, and wellbeing.

This philosophy infuses my teaching and facilitation, where I design and deliver yoga-, mindfulness-, and creativity-led workshops that are accessible, inclusive, and grounded in lived experience.

Professional Background

I spent five years as an Assistant Curator at Tate, where I developed a strong foundation in museum practice, curatorial research, and public programming. I also bring a background in museum and arts education, which continues to shape my commitment to thoughtful, socially engaged, and community-rooted cultural work.

Cornwall Community Darkroom

Since November 2023, I’ve been the founder and director of Cornwall Community Darkroom, a grassroots space dedicated to analogue photography, shared learning, and collective making. Through the darkroom, I deliver workshops using plant-based and environmentally sustainable photographic processes within a traditional darkroom environment, alongside curating residency programmes, exhibitions, and events as part of my collaborative creative practice.

I’m currently on a year’s maternity leave from the darkroom. During this time, I’m using motherhood as a site of inquiry, integrating the intuitive and transformative power of becoming a mother into my creative and yoga practice. My current focus centres on life-creative practice, maternal creativity, and slowing down, with a growing interest in connecting with other creative mother collectives and networks.

I teach 1:1 private sessions from my serene studio near Trencrom Hill, near St Ives, and welcome students to group classes at The Old School Studio in Newlyn. I also offer special one-off yoga events and workshops — subscribe to my mailing list to find out more.

Testimonial

“Imogen is a true professional. In my 60-minute private session, I felt completely safe, respected, and heard. Her preparedness, combined with her calm nature, allowed me to fully relax. She guided me through a beautifully intentional and restorative class, and I left feeling ready to take on the world. Imogen even included acupressure massage and homemade golden milk to support my endometriosis pain. Her knowledge and care are truly unparalleled.”
